Thursday Theme: Trim the Tree

After recovering from traveling for Thanksgiving, I took a look around my house and wondered where on earth I'm going to put our Christmas tree this year. I think it will take some creative rearranging to find a good spot for it. Hopefully I'll get that figured out soon, because I can't wait to decorate it! Have you trimmed your Christmas tree yet? December Team Challenge - Frosty Snowflakes!

Winter is coming, people. Get ready for it! In honor of the coming chilly winter weather, this month’s challenge will have a “frosty snowflakes” theme! We are looking for crafty items that evoke that icy winter feeling, either by using the color blue, images of snowflakes, or fluffy cotton to represent snow!

You can enter the challenge with an item you already have listed in your shop or you can make a special item specifically for the challenge!

If you have your item listed in your shop, email the link to craftingincolor@gmail.com.

If it’s not listed in your shop, email craftingincolor@gmail.com anyway with a photo and short description of the item.

You can enter the December Challenge between 12/1/09 and 12/15/09

Voting for the December Challenge will run from 12/16/09 through 12/31/09.

Instructions for voting will be explained in the next Team Challenge post on 12/16/09. The creator of the winning entry will have their mini displayed on the blog next month! You can vote until December 31st!

The winner will be announced on Friday 1/1/2010.

What kind of things do you make?
Fun, Sparkly, Jewelry, and Accessories.

How long have you been doing your craft?
I've been making things my whole life .

When did you start selling & what inspired you to start selling?
I started selling online in 2005. I was inspired to sell online because my friends kept telling me I should.

Is this your full time job?
I'm a full time mom.

What are your hobbies?
I like musicals, crafting, and pretending to be a zombie with my little girl Isabella.

What is your favorite color?
It changes right now Turquoise

What is your favorite color combination?
I love baby pink, baby blue, and white. It reminds me of cotton candy.

Which colors do you use most in your work?
I use all of them. As I said my fav colors vary with my mood.

What is your number one tip for success?
Promote yourself as much as possible but not to the point where that is all you do.

What do you think is the most fun way to promote?

I think Twitter is since you can talk with other crafters and sellers on there. Plus it takes minimal effort.
